NATA 2019 Registration – Date, Fee, Eligibility, How to Apply

The Council of Architecture conducts National Aptitude Test in Architecture, NATA, annually to test the aptitude of candidates to provide them admission in five-year B.Arch degree program. The NATA exam is held in two parts. Part A comprises of maths, and general aptitude test via computer mode and Part B has drawing test via pen paper mode. In addition to government colleges, even the reputable private colleges accept NATA scores for admissions. NATA 2019 Application Form

The NATA 2019 registration will begin from 3rd week of January and done online. The candidate needs to enter personal details to register for the test. Upon successfully registering, the candidate will receive login details that will be used for filling the application form.

Form Filling

Candidates have to log in to their account using the credentials. The application form has sections like academic, personal details, communication details, etc. that must be filled. Here’s an overview of the information to be filled in the sections:

Personal information – Candidate’s name, parents’ name, D.O.B, nationality, Aadhar number, category.

Communication information – Address, state, pin code, mobile number, email id, district of domicile.

Educational information – Education qualification, course/stream, pass status, board, year of passing, marks, percentage, total marks.

In addition to filling the due information, the candidate will also have to select a maximum of three exam ccenters

Documents to Upload

The next step is to upload a photograph, community certificate, and signature in the format mentioned by examination authorities. Here are the details of the documents to upload:

Photograph – 3.5-4.5 cm dimension, JPEG/JPG format.

Signature – 1.5-3.5 cm dimension, JEPG/JPG format.

Community Certification – A4 size in JPEG/JPG/PDF format.


Candidates need to make the payment via debit/credit card or net banking. The application fee for NATA 2019 registration is INR 1800 for general and INR 1500 for SC/ST candidates.


Once the payment is made, the candidate is redirected to the homepage. A confirmation page is an auto-generated upon successful payment of application. Candidate must download the confirmation page and take a print out.

Application Correction

As there is no provision of correcting the application, candidates must be careful while filling the application form. There are rare cases; wherein, candidates can make changes in the application form. However, one needs to request admission authorities to make the changes in the application via email. The facility is available till the issue of the admit card. The details that can be corrected via email request are:

1. Uploaded documents such as the photograph
2. Spelling mistake in candidate/parent’s name
3. Error in Aadhaar details
4. Roll number of Class XI and XII

Final Words

The NATA exam scores are valid for two years from the year in which a candidate appeared, and the examination is conducted twice every year. There’s a possibility that the authority might conduct national level centralized counselling for admission in architecture courses.
