With this in mind, here are five reasons why you should take to the backyard in the spring:

  1. It’s the perfect time to bloom

When you find yourself asking, “Where can I find garden pots near me?” This means it’s time to get into the backyard. This is the perfect time of year for growing stunning plants, as so many gorgeous natives and other beautiful plants bloom at this time of year.

Be sure to consider planting the following:

  • Ranunculus
  • Waratah
  • Tulips
  • Snapdragons
  • Lavender
  • Roses
  • Snapdragons

and more Be sure to consult your local gardening centre to find out which plants are perfect for your spring garden!

  1. It’s great for space-savvy projects

This is the perfect time of year to make space for your gardening. What’s more, it’s a great way for space-conscious people to try gorgeous gardening without all the room. One of the best home projects for people living in apartments is to grow upward! Balcony vertical gardens not only look incredible but can also yield wonderful fruits and vegetables, especially if the balcony soaks up plenty of that luscious Aussie spring light.

  1. A little home DIY?

Spring is the best time for home DIY. The weather is pleasant and promotes healthy outdoor time. It’s also the perfect time to make your backyard summer-ready. Looking to create an entertainer’s paradise? Then this is the perfect time to build that deck or outdoor kitchen. You can give your backyard lush new features that will flourish in the summer months. Think new garden beds or water features, not to mention a fresh coat of paint that will be much easier to do on a cooler spring day.

This is also a great time of year to plant in raised beds. You may not have the right soil in your backyard for what you want to grow, so raised beds are a great task to undertake on a not-too-hot spring day!

  1. Getting into the community

You don’t have to miss out if you really don’t have any space for home gardening. Have you ever considered community gardening? They are having a wonderful resurgence in Australia and are an amazing way to meet people from all walks of life. What’s more, they provide a truly local atmosphere that allows you to make great friendships based around your shared love for this awesome passion!

  1. You can watch all that beauty unfold

Perhaps there is nothing better than watching all that beauty unfold before your eyes. Things grow quickly and in great abundance. You can truly enjoy the fruits of your labor and grow some truly lovely goodies. When it comes to fruits and vegetables, be sure to plant the following:

  • Apples
  • Berries
  • Grapefruit
  • Oranges
  • Broccoli
  • Snap peas
  • Asparagus
  • Tomato

This is just to name a select few! You will have an amazing opportunity to really test your home farming skills when growing in the spring. What’s more, it’s the perfect time of year to get out into the garden or onto the balcony to enjoy the day’s beauty. It’s a healthy and mindful exercise that can only invigorate your spirit (after any initial planting frustrations!).

The best part? I see how quickly your blossoms flourish in the warm sunshine!
